Maharishi School Governance

Maharishi School is located on the campus of Maharishi International University and is legally a division of the University. But by resolution of the University’s Board of Trustees, the School is governed by its own Board of Directors.

The Maharishi School Academic Council, chaired by the interim Head of School Nuwaira Pasha, is responsible for matters involving curriculum and instruction. The Maharishi School Administrative Council, chaired by the administrative director, Laura Valls is responsible for operating policies.

The Schools’ statement of philosophy
Policies for the governance of the School
Financial management
Evaluating the administration, operation, and educational programs
Prioritizing and leading fundraising
Hiring and evaluating the School Head
Providing channels of communication with parents and others regarding broad policies of the School
Maintaining a current policy manual comprised of all School Board decisions
