Community Service at Maharishi School
Service is a core value here, and an expectation since the school's founding. High School students complete at least ten hours of community service each year — though most do far more — and their cumulative hours go on their transcript, since U.S. universities expect to see it.
Students work through organizations like Interact (the youth auxiliary of Rotary International), volunteer at the public library, the Lord's Cupboard food pantry, or Magnolia Sanctuary soup kitchen, plant trees around town, or provide companionship for older adults. Some serve on the boards of local service organizations, gaining real leadership skills and lifelong mentors along the way.
