My child is gifted. Are your academics strong enough to challenge a gifted student?

Do you offer college counseling?
Yes. At Maharishi School, guiding our students as they apply to selective colleges and universities is a privilege and a responsibility we take very seriously, starting in 9th grade. How does your school support highly stressed Upper School students?
Our school offers several tools and techniques that help students reduce stress and understand its underlying causes. We offer weekly counseling for students who need that level of support. Students, faculty, and staff all practice Transcendental Meditation (TM) — a simple, effortless technique practiced for 20 minutes twice a day, sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. We also offer CCLS, a Social and Emotional Learning program explicitly structured around Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision-Making.

Do you have a strong STEAM program for my child?

Do you have a sports program?
Maharishi School collaborates with our local public school district to offer seasonal interscholastic sports for boys and girls. These programs usually include Varsity and Junior Varsity levels (and sometimes a 9th grade team), competing in regional leagues. Learn more about our athletics program.

Our boarding program emphasizes holistic development through a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, a healthy lifestyle, and twice-daily meditation and yoga to help our students manage stress in a dynamic, ever-changing world. Learn more about boarding.
Dietary questions
We serve a delicious, wholesome organic lunch — $5/day for faculty dependents, $6/day for Lower School students, and $9/day for Middle and Upper School students. Preschool and Kindergarten students have a mandatory school lunch billed to their account each semester; all other students are welcome to bring a packed lunch from home instead, if preferred. Protein comes from a rotating mix of legumes, tofu, nuts, dairy, chicken, and paneer, alongside whole grains, salads, vegetables, fresh fruit, and dessert — much of it grown in our own campus greenhouses or sourced locally here in Fairfield.
Do you accept students with ADHD, an IEP, or other academic challenges?
We have students with a range of learning needs, and our goal is always to support each one where they are academically. To make sure we have the right resources and faculty in place, we get to know every child individually — reviewing their academic history and testing, and meeting them in person.
