ECI grants are available for 3-5-year-old students valued at up to $1,800 per year. Grants and scholarships for students qualifying for DHS are valued at $3,200-$5,600 per year. Maharishi School financial aid (using the FAIR application) is not available for Toddler-PreKindergarten families.

Tuition fees for grades K-8: Families eligible for the Iowa Voucher will be fully covered (plus the $300/enrollment fee)

Tuition fees for grades 9-12: Families eligible for the Iowa Voucher can use these funds for the first $7500 of the tuition. You can apply for additional financial aid by completing the Financial Aid Independent Review form (FAIR). That analysis will determine the balance of tuition due, ranging from $0-$6000 (plus the $300/enrollment fee).

Tuition fees cover academic textbooks and materials and the PSAT exam fee.

Field trips, extracurricular activities, additional exam fees, and personal textbooks are the responsibility of the family.

Financial Aid

We offer financial aid because we believe that every child who wants to experience a Consciousness-Based education should have access regardless of financial limitations.

If you feel you’ll need assistance to attend Maharishi School, we encourage you to apply for financial aid and we’re here to support you through the process.

Maharishi School provides generous financial aid in the form of outright grants: nothing to pay back.  Any family filing U.S. or Canadian tax returns may apply. Need-based financial aid is not offered to international students.

For priority consideration, complete the aid application by April 15. Additional financial aid may be given out later if funds are available. Financial aid applications for returning students will not be considered after June 15 (for Fall semester) and December 15 (for Spring semester).

Maharishi School uses Financial Aid Independent Review (FAIR) for the assessment of financial aid need. All forms are submitted to FAIR directly through their website portal. Families should apply for financial aid during or shortly after submitting the application for admission.

To apply for financial aid, go to: https://www.fairapp.com/Index.aspx.

  • Use School code: 114
  • Use School passcode: ms114
  • Submit either your 2022 Federal income tax return or a copy of your 2021 US Individual Federal Income tax return with ALL schedules, copies of your 2021 W-2’s.

FAQ’s

Do I qualify for the Iowa ESA Voucher of $7,635?

Qualification details, application training for parents, how it works and ESA Application can be found HERE.

How is a family’s financial contribution determined?

The Finance Review Committee uses a 3rd party independent evaluator, Financial Aid Independent Review (FAIR), to determine what a family might reasonably be expected to contribute toward educational expenses. This process considers income, assets, and expenses of both the students and the parents. The total amount available from a family for education costs is divided among all children attending tuition-charging schools. This includes other independent school tuitions, as well as college and university tuitions.

Will applying for financial aid affect my child’s chances for admission?

The aim of Maharishi School is to accept students on their own qualifications without regard to their family’s financial resources. Accordingly, financial considerations shouldn’t deter anyone from applying for admission to the School and are in fact an important step when considering how to make private school work for your family.

What financing options are available?

US families may utilize our 10-month payment plan or our bi-annual payment plan – both facilitated through FACTS. Please contact our Student Accounts office for more information, studentaccounts@maharishischool.org.

Maharishi School also works with several local banks that offer Education loans for students enrolling at Maharishi School. Please contact our Student Accounts office for more information, studentaccounts@maharishischool.org.

Can international students apply for financial aid?

Families applying from outside the U.S. should be aware that Maharishi School does not offer financial aid to international students.

What if I’m separated or divorced?

Maharishi School’s policy is that the parent that claims the child(ren) on their federal tax form is the parent that must complete the financial aid application.

What if we don’t need aid this year, but think we might in the future?

At Maharishi School, financial aid awards are made on a year-to-year basis. Families need to reapply annually if they are seeking continued aid. A family that opts not to apply for financial aid one year is welcome to apply the following or any subsequent year.

Will my financial aid award change from year to year?

Since awards are made on a year-to-year basis, it is possible for the award to change from one year to the next. However, unless there is a significant change in family circumstance, a family can expect that the percentage of financial aid received will be fairly constant.

Are the financial aid records confidential?

All financial aid information is strictly confidential and viewed only by the Finance Review Committee.

⭐️"We're all proud of Ishita's growth this year, and we're delighted she capped off her season with a victory in her final match of the season."
She joins Lily Fenton (2021) as a Pioneer girls' state qualifier
⭐️Kerry- Before this year has only ever played badmitton, she has made a rapid adjustment and already has an impressive serve.
⭐️Helena- She has played some tennis in Ukraine but never on hard asphalt, so she had to learn how to adjust her swing and adapt to American courts which she did very well.
⭐️Mariia- She was a gymnast before she starting to play tennis this year, and because of this was able to bring a lot of energy into her games. She was able to improve very quickly.
⭐️Jolie- She improved a lot and was able to play varsity matches when other more senior players were absent. She also led her teammates in a yoga session to cool down at the end of every match which was lovely.
⭐️Sonya- She learned a lot about being on a team and had her expectations expanded with what it means to joining a competitive group. Her matched tipped the scale for us in the Sweet 16 tournament.
⭐️Bella- She is an excellent athlete and has decided to play college tennis after she graduates this year. She has great resolve to win and improve her game at every opportunity.
⭐️Daira- Her serve has become one of the best on the team. She wanted to get a faster serve so she worked hard in our practices as well as on her own time.
⭐️Sara- She's good at operating under pressure and is excellent in dealing with challenges, functionally speaking Sara would be nominated as team captain for this year.
⭐️Poojita- She is both physically and mentally strong, she never quits and is very receptive to coaching when something she's trying out isn't working for her.
⭐️Congratulations to all of the players on the Pioneer Girls Tennis Team!!

One hundred teams launched Saturday morning, and the top 42 scores launched again in the afternoon. Our team finished 17th in the nation, which enables them to participate in the NASA Student Launch program.
The TARC rockets have a target altitude of around 850 feet. The NASA Student Launch rockets are about 6 feet tall and fly one mile high! To compete our students will work directly with NASA engineers on their rocket design.
We congratulate the team and thank everyone in the community who supported them with the purchase of those delicious biscottis that coach Rudloff also bakes!

Maharishi School Seniors Present Their Capstone Pr Maharishi School Seniors Present Their Capstone Project:
The Capstone presentations will run roughly half an hour to 40 minutes each (including questions) and are the culmination of the work these students did for their Global Solutions class. In some cases, the students have been interested in their projects for several years and have brought together community service and even science fair projects to design solutions that address a critical issue facing our world and our local community.
Join us Friday, May 26th at 7:00 pm in the Maharishi School Auditorium as each team will be judged by a panel of 3 - 5 members. Passing the capstone project and presentation is a graduation requirement, so this is high-stakes.
