In May 2009, Donielle Freeberg received a phone call from David Lynch. He told her, "You're going to become a Transcendental Meditation teacher and move to Los Angeles."
Within nine months, she had graduated from Maharishi University of Management (MUM) with a degree in Communications and Media, completed her Transcendental Meditation (TM) Teacher Training Course and moved to Los Angeles. There she started the first David Lynch Foundation "Quiet Time" program. She teaches TM at several schools, organizations and a rescue shelter for child victims of prostitution.
