Honoring Excellence — NHS Induction 2026

Scholarship · Leadership · Service · Character

This May, Maharishi School celebrated one of its most meaningful annual traditions — the induction of new members into the National Honor Society. Gathered in community, students, faculty, and families came together to recognize two remarkable young women whose accomplishments reflect the very best of what a Maharishi education cultivates: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The NHS induction ceremony is more than a recognition of grades. It is a celebration of students who choose to show up — in their classrooms, in their communities, and in the world — with purpose and integrity. At Maharishi School, where the mission is to help students become creative, compassionate, contributing citizens of the world, the NHS stands as a living expression of that vision.

“To become creative, compassionate, contributing citizens of the world.”

The evening honored five current NHS members whose continued dedication sets the standard for what membership means, and welcomed two new inductees — Sohani and Ria — whose records of achievement, volunteerism, and leadership speak volumes about their character and commitment.

“Are you next?”

The ceremony closed with an inspiring question put to the entire student body — a gentle challenge and an open invitation. NHS membership is earned through consistent dedication, a spirit of service, and a commitment to growing into the fullest version of oneself. At Maharishi School, we believe every student carries that potential.

Congratulations to Sohani and Ria, and to all members of our National Honor Society chapter. You make our school — and our world — better.
