The end of the school year is always a special time, filled with excitement and anticipation. Here at Maharishi School, we’re eagerly counting down to the grand finale: Senior Graduation. This event marks the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, as we celebrate our graduating seniors and their transition to the next chapter.
However, the celebration begins even before the caps are tossed!
Senior Capstone Projects: Students as Changemakers
We’re particularly excited to highlight a truly inspiring event: the Senior Capstone Project presentations, where our talented seniors will showcase the results of their in-depth research and problem-solving. Guided by Anne Walton, these projects demonstrate our students’ commitment to addressing real-world challenges, both locally and globally.
Prepare to be amazed by the ingenuity and compassion on display. Our seniors have developed a diverse range of innovative solutions, including:
Sound therapy for individuals dealing with trauma
A simple, affordable device to collect debris before it pollutes our oceans
A sophisticated tool for detecting drowning victims
A reliable self-check tool for those affected by Borderline Personality Disorder
A mentorship program connecting children who have experienced trauma with supportive mentors through the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization
A comprehensive initiative called AyuFlo, providing Ayurvedic remedies and services to address menstrual issues (be sure to check out their Instagram!)
These presentations are more than just academic exercises; they are a testament to our students’ ability to think critically, creatively, and empathetically. A panel of mentors and experts will evaluate the presentations, offering valuable feedback and recognizing the hard work and dedication that went into each project.
